NEW HEIGHTS IN THE CITY

A collage of different areas around London from parked scooters in Covent Garden to a view of the O2 arena from the Emirates cable cars

Yesterday, my friend and I decided to hop on the tube and spend the day wandering around aimlessly. First stop Greenwich, we went on the Emirates Air Line, it was a great new experience seeing London from great new heights, I had a lot of fun & for £6.00 child ticket and £10.00 for an Adult it’s a bargain!

Next we headed to Covent Garden, where we had lunch at Byron Proper Hamburgers, I have been waiting to try this American chain restaurant, I ordered classic cheese hamburger & fries which I thoroughly enjoyed scoffing down.

Lastly before heading back home I took a trip to Lola's Cupcakes, ordered a rocky road cupcake milkshake. It tasted amazing, I would recommend for you to pop in if you are ever near the area of Covent Garden.

MY GOALS FOR THE SUMMER

Francisca Rockey in a pink bikini stood in the middle of the ocean throwing water up into the air for an aesthetic shot for the blog
During summer it can be very tempting to just laze around doing nothing all day but this summer I am determined to make the most out of the hot weather.

Move more & eat healthier
Okay, so these are two separate goals, but they both relate to my physical health so I put them together. I have had a busy school year this year, preparing for my last two years of high school. Many days I get home and I am too exhausted to even attempt to do any form of exercise! This summer, however, I am determined to do at least 1-2 hours of exercise a day whether it is running, going for a hike or even just going for a walk with a friend. Which brings me to my second point, eat healthier. It can be very difficult to eat healthy when you live 5 minutes away from a McDonalds 'drive-thru' but if I am going to be exercising  and toning my body, eating unhealthily afterwards would defeat the point of keeping fit. I aim to try out some new healthy recipes which are quick and easy to make.

Learn to play the guitar
I have had my guitar for almost 2 years and I only know how to play one song. Luckily, this summer should be relatively low-key, so hopefully by the end of it I will be able to play a few more songs on the guitar.

Blog more
I know I have only recently started blogging but over summer I would like to write some more posts. If there are any posts you would like to see then leave a comment down below or tweet me @franciscarockey

What would you like to accomplish this summer?

EYEKO SKINNY LIQUID EYELINER REVIEW

Google image of the new eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner, black felt or pen like shape with branding in grey colour
I was considered buying this due to the recent hype and when I saw it as a free gift with Glamour magazine (July 2014 edition), I thought that it was a great opportunity to try it out. The free eyeliners are available in two colours, black and navy. I got the black one because I felt that I would get more use out of it on a daily basis. You can also find the eyeliner online at eyeko.com - they retail for £12 each.

First impression – the packaging is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and the eyeliner itself looks sleek. The applicator is similar to a felt-tip, it gives me great precision and control over the application. The great thing about Eyeko’ eyeliner is that it is, ‘fool proof’. For those of you who are new to liquid eyeliner, I can guarentee you will find this one really easy to work with. I can now create the perfect cat eye in less than 2 minutes, which is great as I am always looking for easy application products to add to my everyday makeup look.

Overall, I would 100% recommend the ‘Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner’, but I have one complaint. The tip tends to dry easily - I would suggest storing it upside down to prevent the eyeliner from drying out. Apart from that, I think this product is outstanding and worth the price!

Have you tried this product? I would love to hear what your thoughts!
