A flatlay of the following items, ankle boots, body scrub, liquid eyeliner and a mint green nail varnish, on a floral bed sheet

Once again here we are talking about how quickly the past few weeks have gone and more importantly what products I have been loving. Here are a few of the things  I have been loving throughout the month of August.

I had never used a Soap & Glory scrub before and whilst in my local Boots store, I decided to purchase this little beauty. (click here for a full review)

I brought this Barry M nail paint back in June and I have worn it every day since! This shade nicely complements most summery outfits and the formula is high shine and long-lasting. What makes this product even better? It is only £2.99

Thanks to the Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner, I can now create the perfect cat eye in less than 2 minutes. (click here for a full review)

A pair of cut out boots are essential for the summer but can also be worn during the autumn/winter season. They look great paired with a smock dress or a baggy tee with jeans for a simple and stylish look. I brought this pair from River Island back in February. (buy similar)

Ed Sheeran - X (Album)
Ella Henderson - Ghost
The Kooks - Naive
1975's - Sex (Acoustic)
The Script - Superheroes
What are your August favourites?

It’s that time of the year once again! Back to school time. Before you start organising your school essentials, ask yourself – are you fully prepared for the new school year? I know that going back to school can be slightly depressing for most of us but unfortunately we have no choice, however we can make it easier for ourselves.

During the summer, staying up late and sleeping in are the norm, but as the start of the new school year draws near, getting back into a routine is essential! As we are now into the third week of August, school is just 3 weeks away from starting. Try and get yourself back into a regular sleeping pattern by going to sleep at least 15-20 minutes earlier at night and waking up 15-20 minutes earlier in the morning. This way once school begins it will not be a shock to your system.

Be equipped
Buying school supplies makes going back to school much more exciting. I buy most of my school supplies from Wilkinson and Tesco as they have a great selection of cute designs and also nearer to the end of August most of their stationary is usually on offer!

During the summer you have all the time in the world to do what you want, when you want. However when you get back to school, it can be difficult to find time to yourself when you have homework and exams to juggle. It is important to have one day a week where your relax and forget about everything that is worrying you.

Rememberwork hard and you can get anywhere you want.

A travel size pot of soap and glory's flake away placed on my bathroom windowsill
£2.50 (50 ml)
I had never used a Soap & Glory scrub before and whilst in my local Boots store, I decided to purchase this little beauty. Flake away is a skin smoothing body exfoliate with Shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar.

The smell is great without being overpowering and the texture is nice and thick without being too sticky, making it easier to apply. The scrubs exfoliates really well, as it contains sea salt the particles are quite large, without being abrasive or too drying. There was no oily residue left over on my face after I washed it off, I felt that the Shea butter was absorbed into my skin leaving it feeling moisturised.

Overall, It is an amazing scrub and I really love how moisturising it was to my skin. I will hundred percent be repurchasing this product and I will definitely be including it into my skincare regime.

Have you tried this product? I would love to hear what you thought about it.

A collage comprising of 4 photos: a notebook, sushi bar, tablet with despicable me on screen and olive oil & sunflower edge tamer

This week I decided to buy a blogging diary, a diary dedicated to blogging, to jot down and organise my thoughts - post coming soon
Friday I went out to buy some new hair products to tame my curly mane, I look forward to trying them out - fingers crossed they work
Lastly to end the week my friends and I went for a meal at a new local restaurant.
Overall, this week has been pretty relaxed with not much going on, I have spent most of the days at home watching movies and drafting future blog posts.

Black circle with Q and A written inside
Hello! If you follow me on Twitter (@franciscarockey) then you will know that I recently asked my followers to ask me some questions so I could do a Q&A here on my blog.

Q. Who is your favourite YouTuber?
A. My favourite YouTuber is Patricia Bright, I love the weekly vlogs she does with her husband and I always make sure to have a cup of tea on hand for her huge hauls, they're worth every minute. - Check out her vlog channel and her blog

Q. If you could only have one makeup item for the rest of your life what would it be?
A. Mascara, it makes my eyes appear more awake and makes me look less like a zombie - I could never leave the house without mascara!

Q. How long does it take to create/edit blog posts?
A. It usually takes me an hour and a half to create a blog post and then an hour editing but the more I do it the quicker I become, but even when I have published the post I still go back and change one or two errors. Who says bloggers aren't perfectionists!

Q. If there was one meal that you had to survive on, what would it be?
A. Hmm... Difficult decision because I love food you see and food loves me but if I had to make a decision I would pick Lasagne. Sheets upon sheets of pasta, filled with minced meat and cheese sauce... *drools*

Q. Who is your favourite movie character?
A. For those who have watched Divergent, it can only be the one and only, 'Four' played by Theo James - Let's just say he is a sight for sore eyes, hand sculpted by God himself. Besides the aesthetics, I like his character because he is brave and witty.

Thank you to everyone who asked a question!

A screenshot of my new blog name, Fran's World

I have re-designed and re-invented my blog page; I felt that my blog page from when I first started looked a little amateurish and basically all over the place. However, since starting I have discovered what I want my blog to represent and the type of things I want to post, in other words, my ‘niche’.

I hope you enjoy reading all my future blog posts and look forward to more fashion, beauty & lifestyle.

You can follow me on, Twitter and Bloglovin or you can click on my snazzy new social media links.
