We are now in October which means there is just two more months left of the year. This month is going to be an endless cycle of eat, sleep, work, repeat.

Currently, I am in the midst of my UCAS application and I completely underestimated the stress that comes with applying to university. From copious personal statement redrafts, driving around the country for laborious open days and narrowing your university options down to just five, I question myself daily as to whether or not it is even worth it. I am applying to study BSc Geography in 2019 after deciding to take a gap year. I am yet to finalise the plans for my gap year but I am sure work and travel will take up the majority of it. There is two hundred and fifty two days between now and the day of my last A Level exam, I know it is a long way away but I am more than ready for an academic break.

At the end of the month, I will be flying to Edinburgh for a short weekend away with my best friend. If any of you have ever been to Edinburgh and have any recommendations for places we should visit then please leave your suggestions in the comments below or tweet me @franciscarockey
