I want to keep this intro short and sweet or I will end up rambling on about how quickly this month has gone and how we are nearly half way through 2018. I love reading empties posts, they remind me of the old school blogging days so I thought I would share my empties from the month of May.

I have tried every deodorant on the market and this is by far the best. It's not the cheapest, at £2.99 for 200ml but it does exactly what it says on the tin, eliminates odour, keeps you feeling dry and provides 48-hour protection. This deodorant contains aloe and vitamin e which help to soothe and condition the skin, perfect if you have sensitive underarms like myself. It is currently on a 2 for £4 offer at Superdrug so there's no better time to give it a go.

The ultimate handbag essential. Like the Mitchum deodorant, I have tried many lip balms and this is one of the best. For £2.69, you get a long-lasting formula that soothes cracked lips and leaves them feeling smooth like a babies bottom.

Elizabeth Arden Intense Moisturizing Hand Treatment

This product has been hyped for years and I have always wanted to give it a go but I couldn't justify the price. I was gifted this mini back in March and have since repurchased a full size, a student on a student budget bought a hand cream for £22. Okay, hear me out... If you are a gin lover, a friend of mine claims it smells like Bombay Sapphire, you could be walking around with hands that smell like gin. If you're not a gin lover, the smell is glorious, I am crap at describing scents but I would say it is somewhat citrusy? pepperminty? I think the word I am looking for is fresh, it smells fresh. It has a thick formula that doesn't feel greasy or sticky and even after you wash your hands, they still feel moisturised. If you are looking to treat yourself to a luxurious hand cream, this is one to try.

I first tried this micellar water back in 2015 and have loved it ever since. It is gentle enough to use around the eyes and lips and is completely perfume free, perfect for those who have sensitive skin. It removes make-up, cleanses and soothes with no need for rubbing or rinsing. Simply squeeze on to a cotton pad and it distributes itself across the pad. The product removes makeup really well and can tackle the most stubborn of waterproof mascaras. Once all your makeup is removed it leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed.  If you read my post with Fair Squared then you will know that I am on a journey to a cruelty-free routine. Now, I am well aware that Garnier is not a cruelty-free brand but I was unaware of this when I purchased this product a few months ago. However, I am yet to find a micellar water that compares, so if you have any cruelty-free recommendations then leave a comment or tweet me, @franciscarockey

I have been creating a skincare routine over the last few months (skincare routine post coming soon) and this is one of the cult products that I was recommended. My skin is clear but eczema-prone during the summer months. I have been using Glow Tonic for almost 2 months and I have noticed a huge difference in the texture of my skin, it is visibly brighter and a lot smoother. You know when you wake up in the morning and your skin feels tight and looks a little dull, this toner eliminates that tight feeling and injects a glow back into your skin.

Last but not least, Pimm's. I was invited to a bbq earlier this month and I couldn't turn up empty handed, so I popped to Sainsbury's and picked up a few cans of Pimm's lemonade. I had never tried Pimm's before but everyone else in the alcohol aisle seemed to have their trolley full of it so I followed the crowd. I am not a huge fan of alcohol but this tastes like juice and I am all for alcohol that doesn't taste like alcohol.

What are your May empties?

The definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose, but what does success mean to you?

I came across a tweet about making it in the blogging industry and it got me thinking, how can someone decide that they are the definition of success? What have they done or accomplished that makes them successful? Success is subjective, it can be influenced by personal feelings, tastes or opinions. What one may regard as being successful, another may not see as being successful.

I feel successful in the blogging industry every day. I may not have 100k followers on Instagram or 20k on Twitter, but I consistently create content that I am proud and happy to share. There was a time where I was inconsistent and was not proud of the content I was sharing, and I felt like I was never going to be successful in this industry. Until I realised that being successful in the blogging industry is defined by you and what you would like to achieve from your online presence. My biggest aim is to work with one of my all-time favourite brands, I still have a long way to go before they will even notice me or until I feel confident enough to pitch to them, but I will keep consistently producing content and engaging with my audience and one day that email will come, speak it into existence!

I asked a fellow blogger, Emilia from Emilia Rachael, her view on success in the blogging industry

"Blogging will always be something I do as a hobby and because of this, I measure my success in terms of my own personal goals. I call myself successful now because I have grown 500 Instagram followers since April and to me, that is more than I would ever have imagined. I don't measure my success on how many brands want to work with me or how much money I make, I measure it based on my relationships with other bloggers and how I have grown with my blog through the years"

When I think of success, I want to set myself up to succeed, not set myself up to have a goal that I will never achieve just for the sake of having a goal. Maybe I am too much of a realist, I understand that setting yourself goals beyond your reach gives you something greater to strive for but I take comfort in knowing that I can reach the goals I have set myself, with no uncertainty in whether I will reach them.

So, what does success mean to you?

I am sure you have seen this concealer all over your socials. Every blogger and their nan seems to be obsessed with it but is it worth the hype? Absolutely! This is the first product I have tried from Revolution and I am very impressed!

First of all, the shade range is insane. 18 shades ranging from fair to deep in cool, neutral and warm undertones, so there is a concealer for everyone! If that alone is not enough to convince you to give it a try then the price will definitely have you sold, this steal is only £4. You read that right, £4, an absolute bargain! A good concealer that doesn't break the bank? I'm HERE for it!

As you can see the packaging looks very luxurious and sleek and is weighty giving it a very high-end feel. I'm the shade C13 which is for dark skin with warm undertones and I use it to cover my dark circles for a night out as it gives a full coverage while being lightweight, it doesn't even feel like you have anything on. The large doe foot applicator allows for a smooth application so if you are using it for your under eyes, there won't be any drag on such a delicate area of skin.

The only negative is that it is quite small so if you wear makeup every day, I can imagine it would run out very quickly. However, for £4 stocking up won't break the bank. You could buy 5 of these for the price of one high-end concealer. This concealer has been promoted to my drawer of go-to products and I just ordered a darker shade to use for contour. Sorry LA Girl Pro conceal but there's a new fav in town.

Have you tried this concealer? If so, what are your thoughts?

Some days, I really don't fancy heading to the gym and working out in that environment. You know the days where you look at yourself in the mirror and your skin has broken out or you are on your period, feeling sluggish and the last thing you want to do is pop on some tight workout gear that is going to expose your bloatedness. Days like these I pull out my yoga mat and work out at home in the comfort of my oversized Adidas tee with all its food stains and some regular Primark leggings. I know there are probably a lot of you who have been in a similar position or you don't like the gym environment at all and would like some guidance on effective home workouts.

Yoga with Adriene
I never thought I would be one of those people that are into Yoga but after starting classes a few months ago out of curiosity, I have become a Yoga enthusiast. Since discovering Yoga with Adriene on Youtube, I alternate between my weekly Yoga classes at the gym and Adriene's various 30-day challenges. Yoga is more than just meditation, it focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing.  Adriene guides you through each video at a slow place on how to improve your practice and her calming voice helps you to feel relaxed.

I am sure you have all seen GraceFitUK's resistance bands and home fitness guides floating around on Instagram. Grace is a student fitness blogger from London who started off filming her workouts on Youtube and over the past year has produced both gym and home workout guides which you can purchase at - I believe each guide comes with a resistance band and some guides come with dumbbells too. Grace has created a community of women who follow her guide which you can become a part of too using the hashtag #GFG on Instagram. The hashtag is also a great way to meet other women who are in the same position as yourself and form friendships.

Cassey Ho is one of the women who inspired me to push myself on my fitness journey. The first video of hers that I discovered was the Victoria Secret Angel Arm workout almost 5 years ago and to this day, I still use this video as part of my upper body routine when I am training at home. Her channel Blogilates has tons of home workout videos for every muscle group so all you need is a yoga mat and Cassey will guide you through the rest.
